Sorry..I think I may have gone a little bit crazy from this week..although I am kinda wondering if lucuma is secretly a drug or something considering I bought a 2kg bucket…
Ummm. Well I really like it okay?! But yeah, kinda wondering if it’s having the same effect that it is on my bestie…
Anyway. I hope you’ve all had a good week and sorry I have been absent once again and to my fave bloggers out there – sorry for my lack of comments but I am still reading (secretly at uni but shhh!) I guess I do have an excuse as my life is once again full of this…
Oh the joys. I can already see the deadlines looming and I’ve only just started my projects, seriously. I am kinda excited for one aspect of my course though (blimey, I know..) mainly because it’s not to do with fashion wooh! I have been picked to work with some other students to work on a project on car interiors! How exciting!! And way more up my street given my huge love of cars! I don’t know what company yet as I find out next week but if the end results are anything special I may share some
For me this week has seriously dragged and whilst I have been doing my best to maintain my gymming, extra snacks like my fave Pulsin brownies and pepsi have to be involved to literally keep my eyes open. And thank god for having Friday’s off seriously. They are actually saving me from becoming a permanent zombie at the moment. Bad dreams plus not being able to get to sleep for hours plus no chance of lie ins are not a good mix right now.
Fitness wise, things are going okay. Not as quickly as before obviously but I feel that it’s possible to maintain a healthy lifestyle even when you have so much work. Now that my workouts are more HIIT style based it also means they’re quicker but more effective and work well when I have less free time available – win win really I have also just signed up to a company who are looking to help me with my fitness goals with a new workout and nutrition plan which could be exciting. I’ll see what things look like after my consultation if there’s anything interesting to share.
I’ve also been trying to be more inventive with my protein as having shakes all the time is not good when you have to sit through 3 hour long lectures! So I’ve been making batches of protein cakes which also make for a nice snack before bed
However, even though I am busy, leisure time is important too and keeps me sane! I think life is all about balance not just in diet but also work and play. So whilst some of my peers may be working their arses off all the time…well I make sure I have my ‘Nicky’ time for gymming, shopping, reading magazines and just doing nice things. It works for me and keeps my stress levels down which is always a good thing for my mental health. But ummm, kinda need to stop this black dress obsession going on though!! I do really like black though
And my fave magazine came again! I always get so excited when I see this come through my post box. It’s the little things
And I did my nails…just to continue the black theme obviously…;)
See what happens when I go away for a week? I PICTURE BOMB YOU ALL MUHAHA! Okay, I am going to try and cut down the lucuma, I promise..
