Onesies, Kabocha and Vegan Food Parcel!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Okay, so it’s not so happy round here in the UK..in fact, it’s pretty wet and gloomy and there’s flooding which isn’t so great… But on the brightside I cheered myself up by caving in and finally buying a onesie!!

Can totally see what all the fuss is about now! They’re so comfy and I gotta admit..makes me want to dance around the house for some reason…

I also got kabocha! Ohhhh yeah..this is going to be a good food week :)

I’m easily pleased.

And to go along with that I have been making me way through my Vegan Food Swap parcel from this month which I got from the lovely Mel at Toxic Vegan. Again this month, my partner did really well with coping with my gluten free needs and got me plenty of new things to try which is always exciting!

Szechuan hot and sour soup, harissa paste, chinese five spice

Excited to try these all out as I am a bit of a spice fiend and these will make a change from my usual Indian or Thai flavours :)

Giant roasted corn, Food Doctor roasted bean mix

These make a nice change from my roasted chickpea snack addiction! I’ve already tried the Food Doctor mix and it is definitely one of my fave savoury snacks. The roasted giant corn I have, of course, already devoured and they were spicy – perfect!!

Salted microwave popcorn, Nairn’s gluten free herb & seed oat cakes

Everyone knows I love popcorn so this will go down well. The oatcakes were a new flavour to me and definitely a new one to add to my love list!

Vegan chocolate buttons, Booja Booja vegan chocolate espresso truffles

And on the sweet side, well nothing that chocolate can’t fix! I’m already a huge fan of Booja Booja and this is the only flavour I haven’t tried…they didn’t last long :P

Thankyou so much Mel, I love everything!!

If you haven’t already signed up to the Vegan Food swap and would like to, you can go here ;)

What has cheered you up from the weather?

  3. OK, I oficially want a onesie. Where did you get yours? I have a leopard print scarf/hood with ears but want to take it a step further. xxx

  4. Yay for the kabocha! Today the sun was shining this morning, which made everything look pretty, and then after my run (which was freezing and so windy) a cup of tea made me smile :)

  5. Love your onesie! I really want to get one now that it feels like winter already. I love Booja Booja chocolate too, so amazing! x

  6. hehee! You are like a little cub in your onsie! Cute! I have a plain black one that is sooooo comfy and I feel like I’m wearing PJs with it on. I tried to sign up for the vegan food swap but it doesn’t seem to have worked….hmmm?…..might see if i can do it again…. loves xoxoxoxo

That oneesie is so cute. I’ve yet to get myself one. Might as well now that I’m in college.

  8. Ack you look too freaking cute in your onesie! Love the ears :D We were having really great weather here for the past couple of days, and then today the wind rolled in and everything got all gloomy. Boo. But a couple of things that never fail to make me smile when the weather turns nasty is a cup of hot chocolate and getting my baking on. Throughout the whole summer, I barely felt like getting into the kitchen, but now that it’s getting a bit cooler (and darker earlier) I find myself once again drawn to a warm kitchen and baked goodies :)

  9. The onesie looks so damn cute! Suits you great ;) And I love your food parcel – especially the espresso truffle won my heart.

your onesie is seriously the cutest thing ever!! i think some things that always cheer me up in gloomy weather is just to have a huge pot of tea or coffee and just relax/read a book/watch tv. its the simple things : )

  11. Loving your onesie! So excited for the return of kabocha squash too! x

  12. Oooh, that onesie looks soo cute and comfy! I have to search whether we have them in Germany, too, though I bet I wouldn’t look half as stylish as you in one. Really like your style, Nikki!

What’s cheering me up from the dreary weather is cuddling up in bed and calling a friend or reading a book.

  13. You are so gorgeous, girl! And that onesie looks so comfy and bold. My favorite thing to do during gloomy weather is drink a huge mug of steamy tea with a side of chocolate (which is exactly why my blog is called chocolatea :) )

I LOVE harrisa paste, I make an amazing vegetable tagine with it. I put apricots in it too and it’s divine. I’d love to try a booja booja truffle, I’ve tried their ice cream and it’s mind blowing.
