Last Days of Summer, Raw Food and Loves

Hey lovies!

It’s nearly Fridaaaay weeee! I’m particularly excited for the weekend as it is this weekend that I am going on holiday to Monte Carlo! Summer is not quite over for me yet ;) However, I am really excited for Autumn (Fall for the US guys…)coming up soon. It’s my favorite season with my favorite vegetable (no guesses as to what it is…) coming back into season – I have not eaten any squash all month! Also with my favorite fashion items coming back and this A/W collections are just stunning and so my style. I love everything, seriously. I also love the beautiful sunsets we get and all the colors on the trees. It really is just beautiful :) I will also be thankful to see the last of my sketching days until January…it has been taking over my life the past couple of weeks as I’m cramming it in before the deadline.

I think I must have done over 250 drawings in the past month! Probably 200 of them being the last couple of weeks oops..

A nice surprise that cheered me up from my drawing though was a prize I had one on Facebook from Rawgeous which is a new company offering a monthly subscription to a raw food tuck box including products from both the UK and the US – exciting! I am totally loving seeing more raw food companies popping up in the UK now! :)

It even came with a cute little personalised message! <3

Of the savoury type I got:

Cheesie Purple Corn Kale Chips, Raw Lisa Seed Snaps, SunBiotics Truffle Almonds, Pura Vida Living Raw Onion Bread

And on the sweeter side I got:

Raw Carob Truffle & Raw Cherry Cashew Kookie Karmas, Rite Chocolate spread and Fine & Raw Cacao & Coconut chocolate

And guess what I dived into first?

Kinda shows how my sweet tooth is not so prominent these days huh?! :) InSpirals kale chips are incredibly addictive. My fave will always be the cocoa and cinnamon ones but even these are just amazing <3 I balanced it out with the chocolate bar later though and it was probably the best raw chocolate bar I’ve ever had except for the heart ones I had given to me by Emma. Definitely goes on the love list!

And speaking of the love list, I have some newbies…

A new shirt that I got at the weekend when I was shopping with my parents…

These deli crackers (gluten free and vegan of course) from Orgran. I’ve been struggling to find some decent gluten free crackers for a while and these are the ones. Just perfect. And really addictive so be careful :P But they taste amazing with hummus and even straight out of the box. A really nice flavor so I recommend these…

And looook what came back weeeee!!! I don’t know if you remember but I used to be obsessed with Fru-Grains. They’ve been taken over by Prewett’s and they used to be made by Mapletons and they’ve changed the recipe and they look very different (I can’t call them twigs anymore…) but still have a similar taste but oh. my. god. They are even more addictive. These aren’t gluten free so I’ve paid the price with these in terms of my stomach (so worth it I promise..) but I couldn’t resist. Just. incredible. :)

So, I probably won’t blog again until after I’ve come back from my holiday now as I have work to finish and things to pack etc so I will say goodbye and I will be back shortly in September!

Are you excited for September? What are you looking forward to?

What’s on your love list recently?

  1. I used to love Fru-Grains too! Need to get my hands on some soon. Have a fab holiday lovely! x

  2. I absolutely adore Fall. The colors, the smells, the fashion, the food. Looooove. I can’t wait for the seasons to start to change, although I’ll probably be singing a different tune when it’s snowing and freezing outside. But let’s not think about that for now :) Oooooh and another reason I’m looking forward to September is because I’ll be going to Disneyland for a week! It’s been like 20 years since I’ve been, and I’m soooooo excited :D

I love your drawings. I love autumn. I call it autumn. It sounds more special than fall. Your treats look awesome!

  4. I love that more raw companies are setting up in the UK – we DO need more vegan cafes/restaurants (or even vegetarian!) up North though, they all seem to be down south! Im absolutely in love with your drawings (have been following you on twitter)…Ive never been artistic in this way and envy anyone who can create like this!

  5. Your sketches are amazing as always! I do especially love the one with the cheesie purple corn ;) its breath taking! Btw – totally a dress I would wear.

The idea behind rawgeous is exciting. Directly checked it out just to notice that they do not ship to Germany… of course… Hopefully they will widen their radius soon.

  6. You’ve done so many drawings, that’s amazing!! They’re so beautiful.
The raw box sounds awesome! And I love your new shirt x

  7. This looks brilliant, love the goodies! I am looking forward to autumn, hopefully I can find some kabocha over here in Dublin!
