Blog swap, Baking and Pizzerts

Happy Friday lovelies!

Today’s outfit.

So a couple of days ago the delivery man came. I always get excited when he comes! And what did he bring this time?!

foodie blog swap

It was my foodie goodies from Ellen from the lovely Jemma’s Foodie Blog Swap!! I was so excited, I ripped open the box as soon as I grabbed it from him!

Love Grown Raisin Almond Granola, PB&Co White Chocolate Wonderful, Annie’s Organic Bunnyfruit Snacks

I am one lucky girly!! And you can bet that I stuck my finger straight into the PB jar!! Ah-mazing! And the bunny fruit snacks are my fave fruity snack – I tried them once before and I was in love. They are not going to last longer than this week that’s for sure. Thankyou so much Ellen!

And thankyou so much to Jemma for organising it – such a brilliant idea and I am already eager to do another swap with anyone who wants to!

So the past week I’ve been a bit bored to be honest. It’s been raining all week and I’ve kind of hanging around waiting for Topshop to call to tell me whether or not I am being called for another interview. The trouble is, is that when I’m bored I do two things: shop or bake. And because I feel a bit guilty for going shopping all the time when I’m not earning my own money, I’ve been baking like a mad woman!

Peanut Butter Cookies from ‘Vive le Vegan’

Just simply YUM.

Strawberry Banana Muffins from Week of Daily Menus Blog

I’m a muffin monster so obviously these are incredible…

Caramel Pudding Muffins – my own recipe

These need tweaking – more caramel needed! :P

But there’s only so much baking a girl can do when her freezer is full and also has her goal of ‘eat bar stash’. So instead I turned to trying to be more inventive at breakfast. I’ve been lovin’ pancakes recently but when I saw Katie’s pizzerts I was convinced that they would make a yummy breakfast! However I decided to tweak the recipe (like I always do with everything :P ) and decided to make mini protein pizzerts!

My favorite protein powders are definitely the Spiru-tein ones because of their amazing flavors. These are my fave ones at the moment that I’ve tried so far. I decided that the protein of choice for this morning was the ‘Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl’ to make my pizzerts!

Mini Protein Pizzerts

(makes two for one hungry girl)

  • 1/4 cup whole-wheat pastry flour
  • 1/4 cup protein powder of choice
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • sweetener
  • 1/2 cup water (or other liquid, such as juice or non-dairy milk)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
  • pinch of salt
  • spices/extracts if you wish (I didn’t add any to mine)
  • Add any mix-ins that you want! Nuts, dried fruit, PB – go crazy!

1. Mix everything up in a bowl and then pour into two dishes sprayed with cooking spray.

2. Cook in an unpreheated oven at 420 degrees F for 10 minutes.

3. Remove from oven, slice up, and top with goodies! I did raspberries and agave syrup but next time I’m thinking the peanut butter might make an appearance !

Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl Pizzerts

I was in heaven!!

What do you do when you’re bored?

Any baking recipes that you could recommend to me?!

I love to bake when I am bored too! I love all the cookies from the Vegan cookie book (vegan cookies invade your cookie jar)- carrot cake/ pumpkin are amazing. And also the raw date pecan brownies that I got from Sweet tooth runners blog- they are amazing. But raw so not technically baking. But you need to make them still

  2. Wow, that stack of cookies looks divine! Piled a mile high, haha!

Love your outfit by the way- I love jean jackets! And I’m personally a huge fan of ALL the things you got in the mail! That PB is delish, I love love love Annie’s snacks, and Love Grown stuff is so yummy!

When I’m bored I tend to watch terrible television- The Bachelorette, etc.! And baking? Hm. Katie’s doughnuts were so so so good! You should make mini doughnuts :) Hopefully yours wont drop on the ground like mine did! That was a sad, sad day!

  3. Your outfit today is SO cute, and is that a box of Puffins I see in the background? ;) Everything about you is just too darned adorable. Love you girlie!

I’ve been kinda having the same problem with boredom lately, and my remedies are basically the same as yours  Lots of baking/cooking. A bit of shopping. Lots of reading. Lots of blogging. Lots of laying out in the sun. Lots of snacking. And lots of random nothing-at-all :D

And I’m currently on the lookout for some new recipes, so I’ll let you know if I come across any!

  4. So much amazing food! Those PB cookies look amazing! Do you deliver?!? Your swap goodies look amazing! Yayyy for white chocolate wonderful! X

All of your food looks soooooo yummy. I bake when I’m bored too, or read blogs which just makes me want to bake. I just made black bean brownies from the no meat athlete and they are the BOOOOMB. They are like fudge!
Oh and I have cookies and cream spiru-tein waiting to be eaten. I’m glad to hear it’s good!

  8. You are too cute, I love all your outfits and I’m jealous of your gorgeous hair!

I have never tried pizzerts but the ones you made look divine! I’ll have to find that Spirutein powder because of the amazing flavors.

During the summer when I’m bored I usually go shopping or maybe take a walk near my house since we have a lot of trees and it feels like a nature walk! But I’ve also been laying out in the sun lately and listening to music.

  9. I definitely bake when I’m bored. Either that, or I’ll go workout, surf the net, or go to the stables. Anything besides sitting araoun basically!

  10. I love how Caramel Pudding is making its wau\y into the blog world :) All of your food looks delicious- you are such a great baker!
When Im bored, I clean, shop online (worst habbit ever), read blogs and walks around town!

  11. I am totally addicted to WCW pb, although I have a jar of cinnamon raisin that is just as delicious!

  12. Ahh girl I can definitely relate to being bored and waiting for jobs to contact you back. I’m unemployed so far this summer and it’s killing me! The job market sucks here in the US, haha.
    Best of luck to you!

  13. I used to bake a TON when I was bored, but it got way too expensive. Switched over to going to little 20 minute walks.. Healthier and cheaper too :)

  14. So jealous! I’m dying for some love grown granola!!! When I’m bored I like to go on walks and judge people’s houses on what I would fix up or do if I loved there haha it keeps me entertained! I’ve also been reading a ton.

So many muffins!!! Definitely my favorite dessert/breakfast ever. I think that those strawberry banana ones would taste great with the WCW peanut butter.
I’m really glad you mentioned the spirutein. I’ve been thinking about getting some sample packs because they have so many cool flavors. I didn’t want to commit to a whole container of it before I try it though. Which flavors are the best?! Please clue me in!
